30 Days in Central America

After a week long vacation and wedding festivities on the Big Island of Hawaii, I was really looking forward to getting back to Latin America. As much as I appreciate sipping Mai Tai’s at the beach club during sunset, nothing makes me happier than being on the road and venturing off the beaten path.

Having spent some time backpacking Belize and Guatemala with my brother a couple years back, as well as an unforgettable trip to Costa Rica as a bridesmaid, I knew there was a lot more to explore on my own.

With slightly improved Español, better taste in reggaeton, and exactly 30 days to spare, I decided to book a flight into Guatemala and out of Panama, giving myself the flexibility to explore. Why not?! With all that there is to see and do here, 30 days is not NEARLY enough time, but I’ve learned that no time is ever enough. To be honest, I am looking forward to some alone time, without a schedule or plan. That being said, the best part of travelling is to live in the moment, do the unexpected, and know that you can always come back!

All that has been organized so far is my flight and hostel for tonight, so here’s to 30 blissful days of wild adventure!
