Day 211-Mokoro Trip on the Okavango Delta

Maun-Okavango Delta

Touristy factor aside, a mokoro trip along the Okavango Delta is one of the most relaxing experiences. Due to our time constraint, we opted for a day trip rather than an overnight trip. Oh well, there is always next time!

Apart from our motor getting caught in a net (while trying to help another local out), the journey was smooth sailing.

Each pair was given a guide, who would steer us through the delta with a long pole. It was much harder than it looked (we tried). After spotting some wildlife, we made it to a remote island where we stopped to have lunch.

After lunch, we toured the island and spotted our first wild elephant!
