Day 144-99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall

Cape Town

[Quiz Night at Beerhouse]

Where can you find 99 bottles of beer PLUS another 25 on tap? The Beerhouse on Longstreet, of course!

A popular spot for tourists and locals alike, this contemporary beer hall showcases a world of beer! Serving everything from your local micro-brews to international beers off the rare and limited bottles menu, there is something for everyone. Well, almost everyone! If beer isn’t your thing, cider, wine, spirits, or even coffee might do the trick. The beer menu is quite extensive, which is why the 100ml taster comes in handy.

The vibe and atmosphere is always happening at Beerhouse, especially on a Tuesday for quiz night! We managed to gather quite the team with 3 South Africans, 2 Canadians, and 2 Americans. Most of us met for the first time that night! Let me tell you that a team of strangers from different backgrounds actually works to your advantage! With a range of random knowledge, our team managed to take first place after a round of sudden death with the Bukkake Boys. Yes, that was their team name, and every other team was on that same level. When we realized we were the only team with an appropriate name, The Mighty Ducks, not only had we dated ourselves because it didn’t have a sexual reference, but most of the other teams were born after the release of the Mighty Ducks movie. Nevertheless, we walked away with our winnings – a bottle of tequila and two cases of cider! Since we are mature adults (haha) and some of us had to work in the morning, we shared our winnings with the other team, but were still pretty proud of our title! Until the next quiz night!
