Day 143-A Sense of Familiarity

Cape Town

As much as I love travelling the unexplored, there’s nothing like settling down for a few months to really get to know a place! It allows you to meet more people, check out different venues, attend a variety of events, and feel more like a local!

The first month of my three month trip in South Africa has flown by! Where did the time go? The majority of it was spent attending festivals and various events around Cape Town. It has been a blast so far! The next little while will be spent exploring even more happening spots, markets, cafes, restaurants, and activities in the city.

Location of the day: Rcaffe at 138 Long Street

Serving delicious food, good coffee, and free WiFi! The quaint little coffee shop has a “romantic retro” theme going on with the purple walls and kitschy up-cycled decor. A cozy spot for a coffee, quick bite, or to do some work online.

“You don’t always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go, and see what happens.” -Mandy Hale
