Day 58-Cambodia

Sihanoukville

[Rooftop Hangout]

I’m a little ashamed it’s taken me almost 2 weeks to see a different side of Cambodia. Usually when I travel, I tend to spend more time with locals, which helps me understand the country, culture, and people from a different perspective. Aside from locals, there is also a lot to learn from the foreigners who end up staying. If you take a second to step away from all the partying backpackers, you will notice an abundance of NGO workers, expats, and retirees. A lot of people end up staying in Cambodia for several different reasons, and I can see why. There’s a sort of energy here that’s different than other South East Asian countries. A deeper vibe that I want to explore.
